    2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

Alan brought us his Jazz Blue Pearlcoat 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to have her taken up a notch!

Working with the existing Legmaker Intakes, LLC air-intake system, Alex installed a Metco 2.75″ upper pulley to get the 2.4L supercharger spinning a bit higher, along with a Gates green belt & Metco billet idler to keep belt slip in check, a Mishimoto Automotive 160° thermostat to lower the engine’s operating temperature, and addressed fuel supply with a set of Injector Dynamics ID1050X fuel injectors.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The result? 803.45whp & 713.79lbft on 93 octane! Strong outcome for this ‘Cat!

    2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat – 900HP

James brought us his brand new Indigo Blue 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to get it dragstrip ready! The target: 800whp+ on 93 octane, 9.00″ rear end & suspension to handle hard launches, and a drag pack to put it all down. Up first, to address the power goal, Alex set the supercharged 6.2L HEMI up with an intake system from JLT Performance, 2.75″ upper supercharger pulley & billet idler from Metco Motorsports, a set of 2.00″ primary diameter long-tube headers from Stainless Works, and a 180° thermostat from Mishimoto Automotive.

With the power modifications addressed, Alex moved on to installing a set of upper & lower control arms from BMR Suspension, and then topped it all off with the 3.25 geared Ford 9.00″ rear-end conversion from Driveshaft Shop including a Strange Engineering aluminum third member, Wavetrac Differentials limited-slip differential, 35-spline 1,400hp axles, and 4.00″ aluminum driveshaft. Then set aside for James to install for trips to the strip is a complete drag pack from Carlyle Racing featuring WELD Racing S79 wheels (20×6 front & beadlocked 17×10 rears) with Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Street S/S radials.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped the Hellcat down for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners, resulting in a strong 805.37whp & 729.80lbft even with 96° ambient air temperature! Considering these cars normally baseline at 670whp & 620lbft in factory form, that’s an increase of over 130whp & 100lbft! Up next, after James has had a chance to learn the car on the new setup, he’s bringing her back in for an E85 calibration, and another 50whp+ to head back to the strip with. Overall, killer outcome for this Hellcat!

  • 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack – 950HP

    2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack – 950HP

Brad brought us his Plum Crazy 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody to have it transformed into a Dodge Demon slayer — and coming in at 950bhp on 93 octane at only 12psi, versus the Demon’s 840bhp on 100 octane at 14.5psi, we’d say that hit the mark! Up first, John disassembled the engine to the bare block, and rebuilt the 392 with 2618 forged drop-in pistons from MAHLE, along with drop-in forged H-beam connecting rods from Molnar Technologies, CNC ported cylinder heads from Modern Muscle Xtreme, custom VVT camshaft from Cam Motion, valvetrain from Manley Performance Products, Inc. & OEM Hellcat, all fasteners from ARP, MDS delete utilizing OEM Mopar components, along with all the OEM & aftermarket odds-and-ends to bring it all together.

With the engine reassembled & reinstalled in the car, John moved on to installing the 2.9L W175ax twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers breathing through a Green Filter USA air filter, 18% overdrive harmonic balancer from ATI Performance Products, fueled by Injector Dynamics ID1050X fuel injectors & Hellcat fitment Walbro Fuel Pumps 525lph in-tank fuel pump, breathing through a set of Stainless Works long-tube headers, all transmitting through a single-piece aluminum driveshaft from Driveshaft Shop.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With 93 octane in the tank, and on only 12psi of boost pressure, Vlad was able to increase output to 790.76whp & 685.90lbft! Plenty to keep Brad white knuckled for the time being, knowing there’s a ton of headroom if (let’s be real, it’s more like when) he’s ready.

    2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

A few months ago, Ron brought us his 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat because he was bored with the stock performance. After sending him home grinning ear-to-ear with 793.43whp & 726.91lbft (check out his build here), that same day we got a call from a gentleman named Chuck, that went something like, “I’ve got the same Hellcat as Ron, and after that work you guys did, now he’s beating the pants off me! I can’t have that!”

Fast forward to now, and Chuck’s gorgeous Blue Pearlcoat 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is in for its first round of work! We started off with baseline dyno runs (laying down an unusually healthy 681.47whp & 623.22lbft), then Jared got busy setting the 6.2L HEMI up with an intake system from Legmaker Intakes, LLC, a CNC ported 95mm throttle body from Modern Muscle Xtreme, a 180° thermostat from Mishimoto Automotive, a 2.85″ upper pulley & billet idlers from METCO MOTORSPORTS, and long-tube headers from Stainless Works.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, then she hit the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad via HP Tuners. The results? 811.43whp & 715.50lbft! A gain of 129.96whp & 92.28lbft over baseline! Needless to say, next time Chuck lines up with Ron, there won’t be any gaptizing going on.
