2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX – 800awhp
Jamie brought us his 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX to push it over the 800awhp mark!
Up first in the shop, Alex removed the existing fuel pump assembly and Hobbs switch activation setup, and installed a new billet fuel pump hanger assembly from BulletProof Racing loaded with twin 525lph in-tank fuel pumps from Walbro Fuel Pumps, routed -8AN fuel feed line and -6AN fuel return line utilizing components from Fragola Performance Systems and Vibrant Performance, and topped it off by wiring the second fuel pump for EMS activation (rather than relying on a stand-alone sensor), all to optimize the existing setup featuring a built 2.3L stroker bottom end, CNC ported cylinder heads, S3 camshafts from GSC Power-Division, HLA upgrade from Kiggly Racing, 2,150cc fuel injectors from Fuel Injector Clinic, turbocharger system from Extreme Turbo Systems featuring a 6466 from Precision Turbo & Engine with pressure control from TiAL Sport, all controlled via Infinity 506 stand-alone engine management system from AEM Performance Electronics.
With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom Flex Fuel calibration via Infinity. Starting off with 93 octane in the tank, and the 6466 delivering 25psi, output increased to 645.88awhp & 502.06lbft. Then with E85 in the tank, and boost pressure increased to 36psi, output increased to a goal exceeding 816.77awhp & 643.56lbft! We’re sure Jamie’s going to have an absolute blast with the new performance!

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII – 850HP
Who doesn’t love a forward-facing turbocharger on an EVO? Clearly, Dale-John is among that crowd, and brought us his insane widebody 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII to make it happen!
Up first in the shop, Andrew set up the built 4G63 with twin-scroll forward-facing manifold, down-pipe, dump-tubes, and hot-side charge pipe from Sheepey Race featuring a Precision Turbo & Engine 6466 Gen-II, half-sized radiator from Koyorad Cooling Systems, Inc. along with a cooling fan from SPAL Automotive USA, fuel rail from AMS Performance along with 2,150cc fuel injectors from Fuel Injector Clinic, Double Pumper assembly from Buschur Racing, installed the additional sensors & components necessary to enable Flex Fuel, a 5″ BTI Dash from BTI Gauges integrated into the Infinity, a Stage-II transfer case from Jacks Transmissions, along with all the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket odds and ends to bring it all together.
With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down for Vlad to perform a custom Flex Fuel calibration via AEM Performance Electronics Infinity 506! Starting off with 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased output to 511.37awhp & 409.54lbft at 26psi. Healthy starting point! Then after a quick drain and refill to E85, Vlad increased output to 710.73awhp & 545.71lbft at 44psi! Absolute blast of a dual-purpose street car that both draw a crowd at a meet, then take fools to Gapplebees in Mexico afterwards.

1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 – 750HP
Courtney’s 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is now Flex Fuel enabled, and making some power! This round, Kevin set up the wonderfully built 6G72 with an AEM Performance Electronics Infinity 506, ethanol content sensor, fuel pressure sensor, 4.2LSU UEGO wideband sensor, DSM 24-tooth trigger wheel, various fuel system modifications, and Injector Dynamics ID1050X fuel injectors.
Once Kevin wrapped the work in the shop, Vlad went to work on the rollers setting up fuel pressure fail safe setup, and performing a Flex Fuel calibration. Starting off with 93 octane, Vlad was able to extract 557.15awhp & 509.65lbft — then, moving on to E85, Vlad was able to extract a strong 650.46awhp & 603.29lbft! A gain of 93.31awhp & 93.64lbft between fuels!
Fantastic results for this beautiful build. We cannot wait to hear Courtney’s feedback after the first drive on E85!

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII – 920HP
Parachute, GT4202R, PPG dog-box, corn fed… no matter the car, this combination instantly makes it interesting. And in the case of Wesley’s 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII here, it fits that bill, and far, far more.
Quick rundown of the setup: destroked 2.2L, Manley Performance Products, Inc. internals, 11:1CR, Curt Brown Racing cylinder head, GSC Power-Division S3 camshafts, valvetrain from GSC & Kiggly Racing, ARP 625+ cylinder head studs, forward-facing T4 manifold, twin Turbosmart 40mm wastegates, TREperformance.com 4.50″ intercooler core, full ethanol compatible fuel system with twin Walbro 450lph fuel pumps, and 2,000cc Fuel Injector Development fuel injectors, transmitted through a Pfitzner Performance Gearbox – PPG & ShepTrans dog-box, all controlled via AEM Performance Electronics Infinity 6.
First up, Jared wired in the AEM fuel pressure sensor for fuel pressure failsafe, then she hit the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad AEM Infinity 6! With the factory ignition components still in place, limiting us to ~37psi, Vlad still managed to increase output to 787.20awhp & 619.02lbft!
