    2017 Ram 1500 – Whipple 2.9L

    On this edition of Whipple Wednesday, Keith is back for another round of work, this time with his 2017 Ram 1500 Sublime Sport! Previously here with his 2019 Dodge SRT Hellcat Redeye, Keith wanted to add some fun to his daily driver, one to match his weekend toy, in the form of some BOOST!
     
    Modifications performed below:
    • Whipple Superchargers Stage-II 2.9L W175AX twin-screw system
    • Whipple Superchargers upgraded Crusher 109mm air-intake system
    • Whipple Superchargers supplied fuel injectors
    • Whipple Superchargers air-to-water intercooler system
    • NGK Spark Plugs LZTR7AIX-13 spark plugs
    • MSD Performance fuel pump voltage booster
    • Stainless Works 1.825″ primary ID long-tube headers w/high-flow catalytic converters
    • Borla Exhaust S-Type cat-back exhaust system
    • MotoRad 180° thermostat
    • HP Tuners unlocked ECU
    • All the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket components to bring it all together.

    With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop by Andrew, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With the Whipple 2.9L delivering ~8psi, Vlad increased the 5.7L’s output to 457.32whp & 469.62lbft! A killer increase in power that Keith is sure to enjoy!

    Our first 2021 Ram 1500 TRX came into the Richmond shop last week! Ryan, the owner of Dodge’s newest wild creation, wanted to let the supercharged 6.2L V8 breathe a little bit better and enhance things in the sound department!
     
    After everyone was finished taking their personal pictures, Mike got to quick work removing the factory exhaust system, and in its place went in some added performance from Magnaflow! Modifications performed below:

    • Magnaflow xMOD 3″ stainless steel cat-back exhaust system (customer supplied)
     
    With 702hp and 650lbft, 13 inches of suspension travel, 35″ tires, supercharged fun under the skinny pedal, and a deep growl from the new exhaust, Ryan is ready for some killer fun on and off road!

    Blake came to us looking for some reliable extra power with easy driveability. And by extra power, he really meant extra! We are installing the following modifications below. This truck is going to be a rocketship on the street and a sleeper to boot.

    – Supercharger Camshaft (Duration 210/218 – lift: .483″/.477″ LSA: 114)

    – ProCharger High Output P-1SC Supercharger System

    – Built 545RFE Transmission (Built to withstand 900hp)

    – SCT Hemi & Dodge Tuner Module
