  • Ford Mustang GT350 – Procharged

    Ford Mustang GT350 – Procharged

Another supercharged Shelby GT350 wrapped up, dialed in, and on the prowl! For this build, we installed a ProCharger P-1SC-1 complete system, along with Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR billet oil pump gears & crankshaft sprocket, all topped off with American Racing Headers long-tube headers. Once the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, then she hit the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad via HP Tuners. The results? 753.16whp & 530.26lbft at 6psi on 93 octane!

  • 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS – E85

    2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS – E85

One question we get regularly: is Flex Fuel worth it on naturally aspirated vehicles? Zachary’s 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a perfect example to answer this question.

After getting set up with a Roto-Fab, LLC intake system, Kooks Headers and Exhaust long-tube headers, Borla Exhaust system, MSD PerformanceAtomic AirForce intake manifold, and Nick Williams 103mm throttle body, Vlad dialed in the LT1 first on 93 octane, netting a healthy 442.27whp & 440.10lbft. Then, after setting up Flex Fuel, draining the tank and refilling with E85, Vlad was able to extract 476.80whp & 456.64 — an increase of 34.53whp & 16.54lbft from fuel & calibration alone!

So, there you have it! Definitely a tangible benefit, even for naturally aspirated vehicles.

  • 2009 Pontiac G8 – Supercharged

Lasville’s 2009 Pontiac G8 GT is now LSA supercharged, over double the factory power, and ready to rip! Last round, we set the L76 engine up with a 3-bolt camshaft conversion, AFM/DOD delete components, long-tube headers, custom fabricated electronic cutouts, and a custom dyno calibration, netting a healthy 404.72whp & 372.25lb. Pretty strong, considering stock G8 GTs normally put down around 290-295whp/lbft on our dyno. All of which laid the ground work for this round of work: 5th Gen Camaro ZL1/V2 CTS-V’s LSA 1.9L supercharger swap! Once Kevin wrapped up the mechanical work in the shop, she hit the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad via HP Tuners. The result? More than double the factory power, at 593.27whp & 527.43lbft, without any pulley changes — a gain over last round of 188.55whp & 155.18lbft!

Needless to say, Lasville should have a blast with the new performance!

  • 981C Porsche Cayman GT4

The 981C Porsche Cayman GT4 — hailed as one of the best street & track cars for the price point. And with cutting-edge Porsche technology, 911 GT3’s front suspension, 180° flipped mid-engine configured 911 Carrera S 3.8L H6 385bhp power plant, and a six-speed manual transmission, it’s easy to understand the allure. It goes to show what a little engineering creativity, and one hell of a parts bin can create — the best-priced Porsche GT-level car ever sold Stateside, and enthusiasts absolutely love it.

And this gorgeous Guards Red example, belongs to Earl. While Earl definitely loves the driving characteristics of his GT4, he saw areas for aesthetic improvement. Enter, Vorsteiner carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, rear valence, and rear wing — and that’s exactly what we installed this round. While the change is subtle, needless to say, these components really add an extra element to the already gorgeous lines of the 981C.

    2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

Ron brought us his 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to have the wick turned up! Up first, Jared set the supercharged 6.2L HEMI up with an intake system from Legmaker Intakes, LLC, a 2.85″ upper pulley & billet idlers from METCO MOTORSPORTS, long-tube headers from Stainless Works, then she hit the rollers to dialed by Vlad via HP Tuners!

Starting off with a strong baseline of 676.92whp & 624.45lbft, Vlad was able to pick up 116.51whp & 102.46lbft, settling out at 793.43whp & 726.91lbft — painfully close to 800whp! Killer gains for only four key modifications. Next round, we’ll jump to ID1050X, step down to 2.55″, and let her eat!

  • 2003 Honda S2000 – Turbo

One of the best-executed S2000s around is back on the rollers! This insane 2003 Honda S2000 belongs to longtime friend and customer, Aaron, who has carried out every bit of this build himself. From multiple tuning sessions over the past several years, we’ve seen this car develop step-by-step into what it is today — it’s been quite a cool thing to witness, and an honor to be involved in.

What’s the setup? Forged internal 2.4L F20C with Darton sleeves, ARPfasteners, Supertech valve train, Garrett GTX3076R, TiAL Sport pressure control, Magnus Motorsports intake manifold, custom PTFE surge-tank fuel system featuring Injector Dynamics ID1700X fuel injectors, dual AEM 320lph fuel pumps (surge-tank mounted), Aeromotive Fuel Systems Stealth 340lph in-tank feeder pump, built T56 transmission, 8.8 differential, custom SPEC Clutch twin-disc clutch, all controlled with sensors and Infinity 506 stand-alone engine management system from AEM Performance Electronics, with tons of other details to bring it all together.

This round, with a tank full of E85, Vlad calibrated the setup for the first time at full boost (~25psi at peak tapering to ~18psi by redline), extracting a strong 590.33whp & 471.10lbft! Definitely a ripping-fast power level for an AP1 chassis.

  • 2005 Chevrolet Corvette

Tyrone brought us his ridiculously pristine Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic 2005 Chevrolet Corvette from Maryland for not only more power, but also more visual appeal under the hood! Up first, we brought the MSD Performance Atomic AirForce intake manifold, Halltech Systems, LLC cold-air intake system, and Holley Performance Products valve covers over to Seamus at Concept Colors to have each component perfectly paint matched.

From there, Archer carefully installed each component onto the LS2 engine, then she went over to Vlad to get dialed in on the dyno via HP Tuners. Through the automatic transmission, Vlad was able to extra 403.22whp and 402.69lbft! Pretty strong numbers for the modifications performed, considering that stock LS2/automatic C6s normally baseline around 335whp/335lbft. Definitely a difference that Tyrone will notice, both from behind the wheel, and under the hood.

  • 1992 Honda Civic – Sleeved B18C1 Turbo

Jeremi’s insanely-clean 1992 Honda Civic is back up and running with the new Laskey Racing sleeved short block, and ready to twist the rollers! Quick background: Jeremi has owned this car for quite some time, and has worked with National Speed’s Wilmington, NC shop since 2009! Jeremi’s been running on the same stock-sleeve 1.8L B18C1 engine we built for him back then, and in that time, it’s seen multiple iterations of the turbocharger system, various changes in the setup, and retunes along the way.

For the past few years, this car has been putting down ~470whp/350lbft on 93 octane, and with the short block as the only limiting factor, Jeremi decided to pull the trigger on the new engine build, and turn the wick up! With the Richmond, VA shop bringing this round of work to a close, we’re excited to get this gorgeous EG6 back in Jeremi’s hands, so he can enjoy the new setup for another 10+ years!

Up next, she’s hitting the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad via Hondata S300. Stay tuned for results!

  • 2017 Ford Mustang GT350 – 930HP

    2017 Ford Mustang GT350 – 930HP

In November of 2017, Adriano brought us his gorgeous Avalanche Gray 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 for the first round of modifications: 2.9L W175X twin-screw from Whipple Superchargers, long-tube headers from Stainless Works, billet oil pump gears from Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR, and a custom calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners. The results were absolutely killer, coming in at 798.57whp & 559.26lbft!

After a full year of Adriano having a blast thrashing on the car with the new power, the stock clutch was a little worse for the wear. So, this round, Kevin is installing an RXT twin-disc clutch from McLeod Clutches to get the keep the power transmitting to the rear wheels for the long haul!
