    2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA

    Casey brought us his 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA, 1 of only 500 produced, for the first round of modifications! Up first, Matt performed some baseline dyno pulls to establish a starting point, coming in at a healthy 287.09awhp & 293.31lbft. Up next, Alex installed an SF intake system from COBB Tuning, a Street Series air-oil separator from IAG Performance, all topped off with a turbocharger-back exhaust system from COBB Tuning.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her back down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom Pro Tune via COBB Tuning’s Accessport. With 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased the EJ257’s output to 323.76awhp & 360.62lbft, picking up 36.67awhp & 67.31lbft at peak, and 60.03awhp & 81.82lbft in the mid-range! That’s definitely a difference Casey will notice, and should keep him entertained (for a while). It’s great to see a Type RA being thoroughly enjoyed as a modified daily driver.

    2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk – 800 HP

    Martin brought us his daily driven 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to get it breathing easier, making more boost, and put on ethanol!

    Up first, Archer removed the supercharger snout for porting by Kong Performance matched to their 112mm throttle body, then once returned, moved on to installing a 2.85″ upper supercharger pulley and billet idler from Metco Motorsports, ID1300x fuel injectors from Injector Dynamics, Boost-a-Pump from Kenne Bell Superchargers, a set of 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers from Kooks Headers and Exhaust, 180° thermostat from Mishimoto Automotive, all topped off with a set of Pro-Kit lowering springs from Eibach.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. Up first with 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased output to 764.78awhp & 706.84lbft. Then, after a quick change to E85, Vlad dialed in the ethanol calibration, increasing output to 810.29awhp & 744.63lbft! With both calibrations stored on his laptop, Martin can switch back and forth based on his needs using his MPVI2. Martin now has himself one seriously badass daily driver!

  • Indigo Blue 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

    Indigo Blue 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

    Ethanol in the tank, power stepped up, and dancing shoes on.

    Last round, James brought us his Indigo Blue 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat for an intake system from JLT Performance, 2.75″ upper supercharger pulley & billet idler from Metco Motorsports, ID1050X fuel injectors from Injector Dynamics, 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers from Stainless Works, 180° thermostat from Mishimoto Automotive, upper & lower control arms from BMR Suspension, 3.25 geared 9.00″ rear-end conversion from Driveshaft Shop, all brought together with a custom calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners, netting 799.44whp & 726.08lbft on 93 octane.

    This round, James brought her back in to squeeze out more power, and make sure it gets put down. After installing a fuel pump voltage booster from MSD Performance and filling the tank with E85, Vlad got busy dialing in the ethanol calibration. The result? 875.55whp & 810.71lbft! That’s a gain of 76.11whp & 84.63lbft off just fuel alone! Side note, we’d love to see what this setup would do with a ported supercharger, throttle body, and another 1-2psi of boost pressure.

    Then, with the new output dialed in, Alex got her sitting pretty on a drag pack from Carlyle Racing featuring WELD Racing S79 wheels (20×6 front & beadlocked 17×10 rears) with Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Street S/S radials. It goes without saying, James’ Hellcat is now one hell of a killer street car!

    Craig brought his Red Hot 2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to get it Flex Fuel enabled, breathing better, and exceeding the 700whp mark!

    Up first, John strapped her down for baseline runs to establish our starting point, coming in at a healthy 556.52whp & 570.94lbft with only an air-intake system from Cold Air Inductions, Inc. Up next in the shop, Archer got busy setting the LSA engine up with with a GripTec 2.35″ upper supercharger pulley from ZPE, solid supercharger isolator from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, reinforced supercharger intercooler brick from Dedicated Motorsports, 42mm core heat exchanger from C&R Racing, 160° thermostat from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, long-tube headers from Texas Speed & Performance, spark plug wires from MSD Performance wrapped in Protect-a-Boots from Design Engineering, Inc., Flex Fuel conversion from DSX Tuning, auxiliary fuel pump from DSX Tuning, ID1050X fuel injectors from Injector Dynamics, all topped off with a line-lock setup from Hurst Performance Products.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, John strapped for back down for Vlad to perform a custom Flex Fuel calibration via HP Tuners. The results? 647.39whp & 678.23lbft on 93 octane and 725.60whp & 745.74lbft on E85! Solid gains on both fuels, with an achieved goal of 700whp+!

    2018 Dodge Charger SRT 392 – Whipple Supercharged

    Chris brought us his Destroyer Grey 2018 Dodge Charger SRT 392 to get the 6.4L HEMI boosted! Up first in the shop, John removed the factory ECU so that it could be overnighted to HP Tuners and unlocked for calibration, and then moved on to installing the Stage-II 2.9L W175AX twin-screw unit from Whipple Superchargers, including their upgraded air-intake system, along with the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket odds-and-ends to bring it all together.

    With the mechanical work wrapped, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With the Whipple 2.9L delivering 7psi, and a 100% factory exhaust system in place, Vlad increased the 392’s output to a repeatable 618.28whp & 575.66lbft! Considering these cars normally baseline around 400whp & 385lbft on our dyno, that’s an increase of over 200whp & 190lbft!

    2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS – Nitrous Equipped

    Brent brought us his stripped-down, Flex Fuel enabled, and gap insured (nitrous equipped) 2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS to get her dialed in and hooking up!

    Up first in the shop, Andrew dropped the rear subframe to install Delrin rear cradle bushings & aluminum differential bushings from BMR Suspension, Pro Kit 15″ conversion from Carlyle Racing including rotors & 4-piston brake calipers, Heim joint adjustable aluminum trailing arms & stabilizer arms, a 3,200rpm stall speed torque convert from Circle D Specialties, along with a few additions to the nitrous system from Nitrous Outlet.

    Then, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom Flex Fuel calibration to dial in the existing setup, including an air-intake system from Roto-Fab, LLC, 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers from Stainless Works, along with a ported factory LT1 intake manifold & throttle body.

    Starting with 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased output to 427.49whp & 442.20lbft, and after a quick fuel tank drain and refill, laid down 450.76whp & 471.23lbft on E85. Up next, with the stock LT1 pistons in mind, Matt set the nitrous system up to deliver 150 shot, and then Vlad proceeded with the calibration, increasing output to a repeatable 555.81whp & 605.84lbft, with a best run of 581.74whp & 632.54lbft!

    Brian brought us his 2019 Cadillac CTS-V for the first round of modifications!

    Up first, John strapped her down for some baseline dyno runs to establish our starting point (coming in at 576.90whp & 633.52lbft), then next up the shop, Thomas set the LT4 up with a Roto-Fab, LLC air-intake system, GripTec 2.30″ upper supercharger pulley, a Mightymouse Solutions Mild catch can, Stainless Works 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers Cerakoted by Detective Coating, MSD Performance spark-plug wires wrapped in Design Engineering, Inc. Protect-a-Boots, C&R Racing 27mm core heat exchanger, and a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering 160° thermostat.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, John strapped her back down for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The results? 652.99whp & 668.75lbft on 93 octane, a gain of 76.09whp & 35.23lbft over stock baseline! Killer results for the first round of work, with more to come in the future.

    Up first in the shop, John installed a Gen-V W185RF 3.0L twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers including a billet Roval 132mm throttle body, an air-oil separator from JLT Performance, 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers from Stainless Works connecting to the factory exhaust system, billet oil pump gears from Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR, a set of LTR7IX-11 spark plugs from NGK Spark Plugs, along with all the miscellaneous OEM Ford components to bring the engine work together, topped off with a set of lowering springs from BMR Suspension.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The result? 746.27whp & 633.19lbft on 93 octane, a gain of over 300whp & 230lbft over where these cars normally baseline on our dyno! Chairokey now has himself one hell of a sleeper S550.

    Duane brought us his beautiful Zinc Yellow 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra to have the factory Eaton M112 supercharger upgraded to something a bit more potent! Up first in the shop, TJ set the Terminator up with a mono-blade ready 2.3L W140AX twin-screw unit from Whipple Superchargers, mono-blade billet throttle body from Accufab, Inc., BA-3000 MAF from SCT Performance, all connected to the existing intake system from JLT Performance, 60ln fuel injectors from DeatschWerks, Boost-a-Pump from Kenne Bell Superchargers, along with all the OEM odds and ends to bring it all together.

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via SCT Performance’s X4. With 93 octane in the tank, and the Whipple 2.3L delivering 13psi, Vlad increased the 4-valve’s output to a repeatable 593.91whp & 540.33lbft, with a best run of 602.78whp & 542.34lbft! Pretty strong considering this car still has the factory exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters in place. Overall, a great outcome for this Terminator!

Up first in the shop, Andrew set the 6.4L HEMI up with a Stage-II 2.9L W175AX twin-screw unit from Whipple Superchargers, including their upgraded air-intake system, along with the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket odds-and-ends to bring it all together.
     
    Then, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With the Whipple 2.9L delivering 8psi, Vlad increased the 392’s output to a repeatable 652.15whp & 602.42lbft! Considering these cars normally baseline around 400whp & 385lbft on our dyno, that’s a gain over 250whp & 200lbft! Pretty impressive considering this car has 100% factory exhaust system in place.
