  • 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

    2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Romeo brought us his 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat for the first round of modifications!

Up first in the shop, John set the supercharged 6.2L HEMI up with an air-intake system and air-oil separator from JLT Performance, 2.75″ upper supercharger pulley & billet idler from Metco Motorsports, a Gates HD Fleetrunner Micro-V “Green” serpentine belt, a set of 2.00″ primary diameter long-tube headers from Stainless Works, ID1050X fuel injectors from Injector Dynamics, and a 180° thermostat from Mishimoto Automotive.

  • Magnetic Gray 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Magnetic Gray 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Rudy brought us his Magnetic Metallic 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 with the interest of enhancing a few things in the performance department! Even though the Voodoo 5.2L comes factory with 526hp worth of naturally aspirated power (typically around 460whp on our dynos), Rudy was after just a tiny bit more… and by a tiny, we mean over 370whp more.

After putting a plan in place, the GT350 hit TJ’s lift and he got busy making it happen in the form of billet oil pump gears from Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR, a Gen-V W185RF 3.0L twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers including a billet Roval 132mm throttle body, DeatschWerks 72lb fuel injectors, DeatschWerks 415lph in-tank fuel pump, all topped off with a twin-disc assembly from Mantic Clutch USA to put the power to the ground without sacrificing drivability.

Once all the mechanical work was done, the car was then ready to hit the rollers for a custom dyno calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners. The results? A staggering 834.99whp and 604.22lbft on 93 octane! Given that S550 GT350s weigh in at ~3800lbs, they absolutely rip at this power level!

  • Nardo Grey 2018 Audi TT RS

Nearly 600awhp from bolt-ons and E85 — these 8S/8V 2.5 TFSI EVO powered TT RS/RS3 are insanely potent! But we guess that’s what you get from an engine that’s essentially half a Gallardo 5.0L V10 with a turbocharger. And performance aside, this makes for quite a sweet sound as it rips to redline!

When Michael brought us his Nardo Grey 2018 Audi TT RS, that result is exactly what he had in mind. So, we laid out a project plan to get him there, including a 93 octane pump gas map for daily duty, and an E85 map for when it’s time to scrap. Then with the parts in-hand and the car in-shop, we got busy to making it happen!
Up first, John strapped her down for baseline dyno pulls to establish a starting point, coming in at 428.99awhp & 478.83lbft. From there, Dylan installed a front-mount intercooler from APR Performance, a down-pipe from Integrated Engineering, a carbon fiber 4″ intake system, 4″ turbocharger inlet elbow, MPI fuel injectors, and R7437-9 spark plugs from NGK Spark Plugs, and an ethanol content kit from Fuel-It.

From there, she hit the rollers again to have both 93 octane and E85 maps dialed in via Unitronic. The results? 487.73awhp & 523.72lbft on 93 octane, and 581.50awhp & 583.78lbft on E85! A gain of 152.51awhp & 104.95lbft over baseline! Crazy-good results for such basic modifications. And given that the TT RS weighs in at ~3,300lbs, and transmits that power to all four wheels via 7-speed DCT transmission, we’re sure it absolutely rips!

  • 2014 Subaru WRX

    2014 Subaru WRX

After experiencing a connecting rod bearing failure with his 2014 Subaru WRX, Chris decided to take the opportunity to build the EJ255 for improved performance, resilience, and reliability for the long run!

Up first in the shop, we removed the EJ255 to determine the extent of the failure and identify which components required replacing, then starting with a Stage 2 built short block from IAG Performance, we rebuilt the engine with brand new OEM Subaru gaskets & seals, WRX STI 11mm oil pump, oil cooler and associated components, AVCS components, oil pan, timing components from Gates, fasteners from ARP, V2 oil pick tube from IAG Performance, Street Series air/oil separator from IAG Performance, down-pipe from Invidia Exhaust, SF air-intake system from COBB Tuning, an HDSS clutch setup from Advanced Clutch Technology, along with all the miscellaneous OEM and aftermarket components to bring it all together.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom Pro Tune via COBB Tuning‘s V3 Accessport. While elevated intake air temperatures did hold us back a bit, Vlad was still able to increase the EJ255’s output to 290.80awhp & 315.82lbft! An upgraded intercooler down the line would really top this setup off nicely!
