Chris brought us his baby blue powder coated Whipple Superchargers 2.9L W175ax twin-screw equipped Bright White 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from Maryland for some attention! After a brief pre-tune mechanical inspection in the shop, Charlie strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With the Whipple delivering ~7psi, Vlad increased the 6.4L Hemi’s output to 601.54awhp & 511.63lbft on 93 octane! Absolute sleeper of a Grand Cherokee!

    2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – 825HP

David brought us his Hyper Blue Metallic 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the next round of modifications, featuring a Whipple 2.9L supercharger!

First round, we set the LT4 up with a GripTec 2.30″ upper supercharger pulley, a Mightymouse Solutions Mild catch can, and a custom calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners, resulting in 604.21whp & 637.23lbft on 93 octane — and within a month, David got that itch for more again! This round, we took it a bit further, and installed a W175AX 2.9L twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers, 2.00″ primary OD long-tube headers from Stainless Works Cerakoted by Detective Coating, spark-plug wires from MSD Performance wrapped in Protect-a-Boots from Design Engineering, Inc., all topped off with upper trailing arms, lower trailing arms, and rear-cradle lock down from BMR Suspension.

Once Jeremy wrapped the mechanical work in the shop, Charlie strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a recalibration via HP Tuners. With the Whipple 2.9L delivering ~14psi, Vlad increased the LT4’s output to a repeatable 687.95whp & 692.49lbft on 93 octane with a best run of 697.66whp & 696.74lbft! We’re sure that will tide David over for at least another month — stay tuned from more to come from this 6th Gen!

  • 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT – Tuning

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT – Tuning

Ethan brought his Whipple Superchargers Gen-III 2.9L W175ax twin-screw equipped 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT in for some attention! With the previous calibration offering some less than desirable part-throttle behavior, Ethan decided that while he was having us address the problem, he’d also take the opportunity to add a bit more boost and go for a bit more power.

After assessing the existing calibration, we discovered that there were significant drivability and power improvements to be made without any mechanical changes. However, to make the target power with less ignition timing, we installed a 3.125″ pulley from Whipple to deliver a safe ~10psi to the 6.4L HEMI. With the quick mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Charlie strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners.

The results? She printed a best run of 664.83awhp & 624.77lbft — a bit too much at all four wheels for our comfort on stock 392 pistons. As a result, Vlad set the final out-the-door numbers to a safer 633.66awhp & 591.88lbft on 93 octane! Solid outcome for this boosted Cherokee.

  • 2010 Ford Mustang GT – Supercharged

2010 Ford Mustang GT – Supercharged

With Coyote 5.0L powered Mustangs becoming more and more accessible to gearheads, the preceding 3-valve 4.6L doesn’t get as much love as it used to these days. And when you consider the starting point of each, it’s certainly easy to understand why. That said, there are still those that like to take the path less traveled, and don’t mind going against convention — and Martin, the owner of this 2010 Ford Mustang GT, is that kind of guy.

So, he brought his S197 in to have the 4.6L taken up a few notches with the help of a little boost! Up first in the shop, Dom installed a 2.3L W140ax twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers, long-tube headers from Stainless Works Cerakote ceramic coated in Glacier Titanium by Detective Coating, an HP Tuners nGauge to keep an eye on engine vitals, a Hurst Performance Products short-throw shifter, along with all the OEM Ford odds-and-ends to bring it together.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Charlie strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The results? 524.97whp & 514.70lbft on 93 octane! Check out the dyno video below.

  • 2016 Ford Mustang GT – 900HP

    2016 Ford Mustang GT – 900HP

Daniel brought his 2016 Ford Mustang GT in to have her put under a little pressure! And as it turned out, this particular Coyote 5.0L is quite the factory freak…

Up first, Andrew installed a Gen-IV 2.9L twin-screw system from Whipple Superchargers equipped with a 3.750″ upper pulley along with Stage 2 upgrades including a high-flow intercooler pump and billet Roval 132mm throttle body, billet oil pump gears from Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR, a set of LTR7IX spark plugs from NGK Spark Plugs India, along with all the miscellaneous OEM Ford components to bring it together, breathing through the existing 1.875″ primary diameter long-tube headers from CORSA Performance, all transmitting through an RST clutch & steel flywheel setup from McLeod Clutches.

Then with the mechanical work completed, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The result? A repeatable 777.94whp and 593.71lbft at ~12psi on 93 octane, with a highest run of 791.51whp & 596.32lbft! From this exact combination of parts on 93 octane, these are the highest numbers we’ve produced on a factory Gen-II Coyote by a margin of ~25whp. Solid outcome all around!

  • 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Ron brought us his Atomic Orange Metallic 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to address the LS7’s infamous valve drop issues, and also add another ~125whp worth of naturally aspirated power in the process! Up first in the shop, John installed a set of CNC ported cylinder heads from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, a custom billet-core camshaft from Cam Motion, push rods from COMP Cams, rocker arm bronze bushing trunnion upgrade from Smith Brothers Pushrods, fasteners from ARP, all new OEM GM gasket, seals, fluids, and timing components (along with a C5R timing chain), with a set of long-tube headers from Stainless Works to top it all off.

After the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to bring it all together with a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The results? 574.01whp & 536.79lbft! This output with a naturally aspirated C6Z is an absolutely blast of a car both on the street and on the track. Needless to say, Ron is enjoying the new performance!

  • 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

    2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Starting out in the shop, Louis set the supercharged 6.2L Hemi up with a Metco 2.75″ upper pulley, Metco billet idler, and a set of Injector Dynamics ID1050X fuel injectors, all breathing through the existing air-intake system.

With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, Charlie strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. The result? 766.17awhp & 722.74lbft on 93 octane! These Trackhawks with just a few bolt-on modifications remain our nomination for the ultimate daily driver.
