    1992 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Luis brought his 1992 Nissan Skyline GT-R in for some in-depth maintenance and to have the whole setup dialed in on the rollers! Up first, we were tasked with diagnosing a low oil pressure condition — after inspecting everything possible outside of the engine (including oil for signs of bearing material/wear metals), we concluded that it was almost certainly what always causes low oil pressure on a factory-sealed RB26DETT: rear housing bolts on the oil pump backed out, causing internal pressure loss. And that’s precisely what we discovered!

Up next, we reassembled the engine with brand new OEM Nissan timing components, N1 oil pump, N1 water pump, and all the OEM Nissan gaskets & seals to complete the installation. With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop, the mint-condition NISMO LMGT4 wheels came off, the stock wheels went on, and then she hit the rollers to get dialed in by Vlad via Haltech.

With N1 turbochargers feeding 18psi, Vlad was able to increase power output to 444.31whp & 375.02lbft on 93 octane! Solid results!

    2017 Nissan GT-R – E85

Eric’s gorgeous Blazing Metallic 2017 Nissan GT-R is in for some attention! First up, we’re letting the mighty VR38DETT breathe a bit easier, via Extreme Turbo Systems down-pipes mated to the existing Akrapovic Exhaust SystemModern Automotive Performance 3.00″ intake system, and a T1 Race Development air/oil separator. From there, we’re getting her ready to get corn fed via Injector Dynamics ID1300X fuel injectors, twin DeatschWerks 340lph in-tank fuel pumps, and a Speed By Design LLC Flex Fuel conversion

The results? After hitting the rollers for a Flex Fuel calibration by Vlad via COBB Tuning‘s Accessport this 2017 Nissan GT-R put down 637.24whp & 640.84lb/ft!

  • 1974 Datsun 260Z – LS2 Turbo

William brought us his blacked-out LS2-powered 1974 Datsun 260Z to have it put under a little pressure! After removing & refreshing the engine to prepare it for boost, Archer got busy custom fabricating a single turbocharger system featuring a BorgWarner Inc. S366 SX-E 9180 turbocharger, TiAL Sport pressure control, Injector DynamicsID1050X fuel injectors, utilizing fabrication components from Vibrant Performance, intercooler core from Treadstone Performance Engineering Inc., with hot-side ceramic coating by Detective Coating, and then Vlad brought it all together with a custom calibration via HP Tuners.

The results? 569.22whp & 553.51lbft at 9psi on 93 octane! See dyno video below. Given the fact that this small S30 platform now has the power-to-weight ratio of a McLaren P1, we think it’s safe to say that William have his hands full with the new performance! Overall, a fantastic result.

    2016 Nissan 370Z NISMO – Nitrous

Bary’s 2016 Nissan 370Z NISMO is in to get a new shot of life! This round, John is setting the VQ37VHR up with nitrous system components from Nitrous Outlet & Nitrous Express, then to get dialed in for both naturally aspirated & nitrous (Bary will be able to change calibration files on the fly with the cruise control buttons), she’s hitting the rollers for a custom calibration by Vlad via UpRev with ARC! Stay tuned for results!

    2012 Nissan GTR

Moe’s 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition came in for a little attention! As his R35 approached the 100,000 mile mark, Moe began to notice some odd transmission behavior. After some diagnostics, we discovered significant debris scarring on the solenoids, and evidence of clutch-pack wear. So, rather than just rebuilding, Moe decided to lay some groundwork for more power down the line, and upgraded to a ShepTrans build! This GR6 transmission received a Pfitzner Performance Gearbox – PPG 1st gear, 7-plate clutch pack, billet clutch baskets, a long list of Dodson Performance reinforcements, all brought together with select OEM Nissan components. Now she’s in Louis’ hands to get brought back to life, and back on the streets!

    2012 Nissan 370z Nismo

Steve’s 2012 Nissan 370Z NISMO is wrapped up, calibrated, and ready to roll! This round, Jared set the VQ37VHR up with a twin turbocharger system from AAM Competition, LLC featuring BorgWarner Performance AftermarketEFR 6758 turbochargers, HKS Hi-Power exhaust system, Injector DynamicsID1050X fuel injectors, PMAS MAF sensors, AEM Performance Electronics320lph in-tank fuel pump, Tru Boost gauge & controller, oil pressure gauge, wideband air:fuel ratio gauge, CSF Radiators triple-pass aluminum radiator, NISMO thermostat, TEIN Master Shop Flex coilovers, and a South Bend Clutch DXD Stage-III clutch kit & flywheel.

With the mechanical work completed, Vlad got to work calibrating the twin turbocharged Z34 NISMO via UpRev, and on 93 octane, was able to exact 564.63whp & 497.40lbft at 12.80psi! Check out the power difference the extra 2psi made from 10.67psi (spring pressure) to 12.80psi — nearly 50whp & 50lbft! With plenty of headroom to go, we’re delivering the project at this power level for Steve to get used to the additional 250whp over stock — definitely an easy 600-650whp on pump gas in the future!

    2005 Nissan 350Z

Chris came to us wanting more midrange power and sound.

Having already gone with a Momentum Performance Turbo Kit on Chris’ car, we knew that the Momentum Performance Headers were a perfect match.

The car ended up making a stout 426.74whp/415.35lbft and picked up 25whp peak and 26ftlb over it’s baseline.

What’s not seen here is the nearly 50whp gain in the midrange! The car will be much more fun to drive and have a great deal more usable power.

    2004 Nissan 350Z – Turbocharged

Nick came to us with the goal of making more horsepower to have more fun in his 350Z.

Nick went with a Momentum Performance Single Turbo Kit and he will monitor vitals via an Auto Tech ePod gauge pod. Without an aftermarket valve body upgrade for the transmission, we limited the power to only 4 pounds of boost to keep it safe and ended up with a final number of 304.97whp and 285.53lb-ft.

Nick is excited to get it back to us for a retune once he comes back with transmission upgrades that can handle the power, then we can dial up the boost substantially!
