Sherman brought us his 2009 Subaru WRX for an IAG Performance short block and to have Vlad dial the EJ255 in via COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3! Build details below:

Pre-existing:
• COBB Tuning exhaust and down-pipe
• COBB Tuning SF air-intake system
• COBB Tuning bypass valve

Performed by us:
• IAG Performance Stage 1 EJ257 short block
• ARP 2000 series cylinder head studs
• OEM STI 11mm oil pump
• IAG Performance V2 oil pump pickup tube
• IAG Performance Street Series air/oil separator
• PERRIN Performance turbocharger inlet tube
• EXEDY USA clutch kit
• EXEDY USA flywheel
• NGK Spark Plugs spark plugs
• All the miscellaneous OEM Subaru gaskets, seals, and timing components to complete the installation

With the mechanical work wrapped up by Michael in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3. With 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased the EJ255’s output to 287.11awhp & 324.65lbft!

With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop by John, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom two-fuel calibration via HP Tuners. Up first with 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased the 6.4L’s output to 512.52whp & 512.91lbft, and then with E85 in the tank, output increased to a 525.94whp & 530.11lbft! Definitely a solid outcome that Lamont is sure to enjoy.

2019 Honda Civic Type-R – Bolt-ons

Joey brought us his bone-stock 2019 Honda Civic Type-R to get the K20C1 breathing a bit better and making some more jam! Modifications performed below:

With the mechanical work wrapped up by Andrew in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to get the FK8 dialed in via Hondata’s FlashPro. With the stock turbocharger delivering ~26psi, Vlad increased the K20C1’s output to 385.66whp & 382.07lbft on 93 octane! Considering these cars normally baseline between 280-290whp in stock form, that’s a difference Joey will definitely notice!

With the Whipple 2.9L delivering ~12psi, Vlad increased the 392’s output to a repeatable 672.71whp & 588.43lbft! With the boost set to such a conservative level, there is plenty more jam in the jar when Richard is ready!

With the mechanical work wrapped up by Dyan in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via EcuTek Technologies Ltd. Even working around octane limitation, Vlad increased the B58’s output to 417.32whp & 522.32lbft! This combination typically generates 440-460whp/530-550lbft on our dynos, so we’re hoping to see this A90 back in with better fuel sometime soon!

With 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased output to a conservative 330.62awhp & 345.89lbft, and then with E85 in the tank and the stock turbocharger at full tilt, output increased to a ripping 361.79awhp & 384.36lbft! Stock turbocharger delivering the jam!
