    2012 Nissan 370z Nismo

Steve’s 2012 Nissan 370Z NISMO is wrapped up, calibrated, and ready to roll! This round, Jared set the VQ37VHR up with a twin turbocharger system from AAM Competition, LLC featuring BorgWarner Performance AftermarketEFR 6758 turbochargers, HKS Hi-Power exhaust system, Injector DynamicsID1050X fuel injectors, PMAS MAF sensors, AEM Performance Electronics320lph in-tank fuel pump, Tru Boost gauge & controller, oil pressure gauge, wideband air:fuel ratio gauge, CSF Radiators triple-pass aluminum radiator, NISMO thermostat, TEIN Master Shop Flex coilovers, and a South Bend Clutch DXD Stage-III clutch kit & flywheel.

With the mechanical work completed, Vlad got to work calibrating the twin turbocharged Z34 NISMO via UpRev, and on 93 octane, was able to exact 564.63whp & 497.40lbft at 12.80psi! Check out the power difference the extra 2psi made from 10.67psi (spring pressure) to 12.80psi — nearly 50whp & 50lbft! With plenty of headroom to go, we’re delivering the project at this power level for Steve to get used to the additional 250whp over stock — definitely an easy 600-650whp on pump gas in the future!

Another S550 in the shop, getting put under pressure! This Triple Yellow Tri-Coat 2015 Ford Mustang GT belongs to Jason, and this round, Archer is setting the Coyote 5.0L up with a Whipple Superchargers 2.9L twin-screw, Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR billet oil pump gears, Kenne Bell Superchargers boost-a-pump, Driveshaft Shop 800hp axles, and then Vlad is dialing everything in on the dyno via HP Tuners

    The results? 638.37whp & 533.10lbft on 93 octane!

  • 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI – Clutch Install

To prepare for upcoming performance increases, Jonathan brought in his 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI for some drivetrain attention! This round, Kevin is setting the MK7.5 up with a South Bend Clutch DXD Stage-II clutch & flywheel setup, giving us plenty of headroom to move forward with. Once Jonathan gets some break-in miles, then she’s hitting the rollers to get fully turned up by Vlad via COBB Tuning‘s Accessport. Stay tuned for gains to come!

  • 2018 Ford Mustang GT – 3.0L Whipple

    2018 Ford Mustang GT – 3.0L Whipple

The 2018-2019 Ford Mustang GT: an entirely new breed of Mustang and performance car alike — stock-for-stock, it really is an incredible performance package right off the showroom floor. But let’s be real, who leaves an S550 stock? The alluring gains from just an intake & tune alone are hard to ignore… but the beautiful whine, and ridiculous gains from a twin-screw supercharger, are absolutely impossible to ignore.

And Barry — the owner of this drag-packed Shadow Black 2018 Ford Mustang GT — is one of those guys that couldn’t ignore the latter, and decided to go all-in! This round, Louis is setting this S550 up with a Gen-V 3.0L twin-screw from Whipple Superchargers with 10-rib conversion, Modular Motorsports Racing – MMR billet oil pump gears, Injector DynamicsID1050X fuel injectors, Fore Innovations, LLC dual-pump module with FC2 controller, Stainless Works long-tube headers, Driveshaft Shop aluminum driveshaft, BMR Suspension bushings, all brought together with a custom calibration by Vlad via HP Tuners!

    Stay tuned for results!

  • 2013 Cadillac CTSV – Intercooler & Tune

Jason just picked up this beautiful MT6 Thunder Gray ChromaFlair 2013 Cadillac CTS-V, and brought it in because it felt a little down on power. Upon investigation, we discovered two things: one, power was definitely off for the modifications performed, laying down only 536whp/542lbft. That, and with IAT2s at nearly 200° F, we knew what must be going on: collapsed intercooler brick, which we verified shortly thereafter.

Once we installed the repaired/reinforced intercooler brick, power came up to 575/565lbft, and then after dialing in the calibration via HP Tuners, power jumped to 633whp/639lbft! 97whp/97lbft gain from correcting a cooling deficiency, and a performing a proper calibration. Wild results!

Two, this V is sitting on a set of reworked OEM wheels — the exact setup which we pioneered back in 2010! This basically entails widening the front wheels to run on the rear, moving the rears up front, and all the bits-and-pieces necessary to execute. Check out the original build thread from 2010: https://ls1tech.com/…/1280217-national-speed-2009-cadillac-…

Overall a killer car, and fantastic results!

  • 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T

Cole brought us his 2012 Hyundai  Coupe 2.0T to have it setup and dialed in! First, we installed a Haltech Platinum Pro ECU with WBC1 CAN wideband controller, electronic boost control solenoid, and then Vlad hit the rollers to bring it all together. Equipped with only a stock-placement Garrett GT3076R & front-mount intercooler — and limited by 550cc fuel injectors & the factory catalytic converter — Vlad was able to extract 290.77whp/272.93lbft! While peak gains of ~78whp and 87lbft are impressive enough from tuning alone, what’s more impressive is that areas of the curve showed 100whp+/100lbft+ increase! That’s a difference Cole should definitely notice…

  • 2011 Ford Mustang GT
