    2016 Subaru WRX – IAG Stage 1 FA20DIT Short Block

    Ikimba brought us his 2016 Subaru WRX for our IAG short block package to get the FA20DIT built and ready for more reliable power!
     
    Modifications performed by us:

    • OEM Subaru timing components, timing cover with engine oil pump, engine oil pan, and engine oil cooler assembly
    • All the miscellaneous OEM Subaru gaskets, seals, and components to complete the installation

    With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3. With 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased the FA20DIT’s output to 342.31awhp & 313.02lbft! We’ll see this car back shortly for E85 numbers, but with the Boost Lab TD06 in place, we expect to see some stellar results!

The goal with this project was to safely hit the 700whp mark on 93 octane, and lay the groundwork for more power down the road. The solution? Our LT1 drop-in pistons & connecting rods package!     With the mechanical work wrapped up in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners! With 93 octane in the tank, and the Whipple 2.9L delivering ~15 psi, Vlad increased the LT1’s output to a solid 799.24whp & 765.98lbft! We’re looking forward to seeing this 6th Gen back for more in the future!

With 93 octane in the tank, and the stock turbocharger producing ~24psi, Vlad increased the output to a solid 346.07whp & 417.74lbft!

    With the mechanical work wrapped in the shop by John, Matt strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via HP Tuners. With 93 octane in the tank, and the IHI 2.4L supercharger delivering ~15psi, Vlad increased output to 791.32whp & 711.25lbft!
     
    Considering these cars normally baseline around 650whp on our dynos during the summer, that’s a solid 140whp increase, even with ~95° ambient air temperature!
